The Senior Musical Theatre Company is for 3rd-6th year students and runs through Terms 1-3 in ITW Clonskeagh on Sundays 4pm-6pm. Working towards a production of a Broadway or West End Musical.
Membership of weekly Dance and Creative Drama classes in ITW is essential for students who wish to take Musical Theatre, and a high level of commitment is required. As we get closer to our show a greater degree of attendance at ITW is required as we also make props, paint sets, fundraise, and create costumes.
Senior Musical Theatre Company takes musical training to the next level with challenging harmonies, dance routines, and character development. We encourage each actor to become a triple threat in dance, voice, and acting, and we work with students to improve both their strengths and weaknesses.
Students in the Senior Musical Theatre Company are expected to research their shows, characters, and composers, and to treat the rehearsal process professionally. Many students go on to work professionally or semi-professionally in the Performing Arts, both while they’re still in school and after graduation.

Join Our Senior Musical Theatre Program 2024!
Our Senior Musical Theatre program, held every Sunday in Clonskeagh, is the perfect opportunity for passionate theatre enthusiasts. As we gear up for our next big performances, our students will have the opportunity to stay until 7 on a Sunday to really solidify our amazing performance.
Next year, we're thrilled to be staging two fantastic and contrasting shows: ‘Oz’ Based on ‘Wicked’ and ‘The Diner’ based on ‘Waitress’ . These productions are ideal for everyone as they have something for everyone. Big Dance Numbers, Broadway Belts and emotional scenes. You don’t need to be an extraordinary singer, dancer, or actor—just bring your passion for theatre and a love for working as part of an awesome ensemble.
We'll be performing ‘The Diner’ at the Sean O'Casey Theatre and ‘Oz’ at our home school in Clonskeagh. In ‘Oz’, our cast will have the unique opportunity to take a larger role in stage management and lighting, giving everyone a chance to learn new skills and contribute to the production process.
Our program is led by three incredible musical directors: Jordan Brown, who handles all things dance; Joshua Brown, who manages acting; and Ellen West, our musical director. With over 20 years of combined experience in theatre, they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our program.
We are excited to welcome new faces next year and are committed to working even harder to create the best shows possible. Come join us and be a part of something truly special!
