ITW Dance Companies at Perform Ireland 2022 with their Hunger Games inspired piece choreographed by Jordan Brown

The ITW Kahn Dance Company is exclusively for ITW students. It is now split into two teams. The Company and The Elite Team. The Elite Dance Team prepares students who are keen to explore dance on a more serious note preparing them for college and pre-professional dance work, while The Company are focused on one specific style. The ITW Dance Teams perform at local and international dance competitions and festivals including but not limited to the 5,6,7,8 Elite Dance Competition Belfast (multi-award winning), VAD Productions UK, Twilight, as well as on the main stage at PERFORM Ireland and Dance Platform in The Helix. We had a wonderful time performing at Take Us 2 The Magic in Disneyland Paris 2024.

The Elite Team rehearse two hours a week; on Wednesday nights with the Dance Company at 5 - 6pm and then just The Elite Team on Wednesday evening at 6 - 7pm in ITW Clonskeagh during term time.

In order to be eligible for Dance Company students must be taking their dance seriously and attend the class in their chosen style. For Elite team they must be in a minimum of two additional dance classes per week. Both Company and Elite must attend their additional dance classes at ITW Dance Studio classes available to Seniors include Ballet, Lyrical Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop.

We recommend all potential Company Members do the Dance Intensives during the Summer along with the Dance Company Training Week in August to prepare for the Auditions which take place in May and August each year.

What to wear: Khan Company wear the Khan Leotard with black leggings and Tan canvas Jazz shoes. Hair tied up on a ponytail. ITW Dancewear can be ordered online in our ITW SHOP and will be delivered to ITW Studios for collection at class. The Elite Team will have a separate uniform.

Cost of the ITW Dance Company is €35 per week for the Elite Team and €25 a week for the Company Teams. The fee does not include costumes, privates or competition entry fees.
