Welcome to the vibrant and competitive world of our dance competition team at ITW! With three age divisions—Mini's, Khan, and Graham—we offer a comprehensive program designed to challenge and inspire dancers of all ages and skill levels. Within each division, we have both a Company and an Elite Team, providing opportunities for dancers to pursue their passion at their desired level of intensity. Our Mini's division is specially tailored for our youngest dancers, fostering a love for dance while building a strong foundation of technique and performance skills. As dancers progress to the Khan and Graham divisions, they have the chance to take their skills to new heights through rigorous training and performance opportunities. The Company team offers a platform for dedicated dancers to showcase their talents, while the Elite Team provides an even more intense training experience for those seeking a competitive edge.
** Disneyland Trip in 2024**
We are so excited to announce that we are now offering the dance teams the opportunity to dance at DISNEYLAND PARIS!! The Disneyland dance competition ‘TAKE US TOO THE MAGIC’ takes place in March and gives our dancers the chance to compete, Perform on the Disney main stage and dance in the parade! Spots on this trip are open to ALL members of the Dance Teams and is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We can not wait to explore the magic and dance in the fabulous Disneyland Paris,
**Expanding Our Dance Family and the new company structure**
As we gear up for the upcoming dance season, we are thrilled to announce an exciting expansion within our dance family. We are introducing a new structure to the Dance Department, offering more opportunities for dancers to compete and have fun.
Starting this September, our dance company will be divided into two categories: the Elite Team and the Dance Company. This division will cater to two upper age groups: 10-12-year-olds and 13-18-year-olds. Additionally, we are introducing a brand new Minis Company for aspiring dancers aged 6-9 years.
**Elite Team:** The Elite Team will focus on a mix of dance styles and receive intensive training, preparing them for various dance competitions. Their dedication and drive will be channelled towards excelling in these dance styles.
**Dance Company:** The Dance Company members will have the opportunity to specialize in their preferred style, whether it's hip hop, contemporary, or any other style offered. This will create a vibrant and enjoyable environment for learning and competition. While the Dance Company will participate in group numbers with the Elite Team, they will also have the chance to showcase their talent through solos and duos in their respective styles.
Training Requirements and Schedule
The training requirements and schedule for each team are as follows:
**Elite Team:**
- Must attend company training sessions.
- Take two additional dance classes.
- Compulsory gymnastics at a recreational gym once a week.
- Intensive training twice a week.
**Dance Company:**
- Attend their chosen dance class in their preferred style.
- Must attend one Training session a week with the Elite team.
- Focus on their style of choice and work on a group dance in that style throughout the term.

**Mini's Team Experience**
Exciting news for our youngest aspiring dancers! We are thrilled to introduce our brand new Mini's Team, specially designed for dancers aged 6 to 9. If your little one has a passion for dance and dreams of discovering the enchantment of movement, this is the perfect opportunity for them to shine!
Our Mini's Team will have a dedicated training session once a week, where they will delve into the wonderful world of dance. Led by our experienced instructors, they will learn fundamental techniques, explore creative movement, and develop coordination and musicality.
But the magic doesn't stop there! We have an incredible surprise in store for our Mini's Team this year—they will have the chance to embark on a thrilling adventure to Disneyland! This exciting trip will not only be a celebration of their hard work and dedication but also an opportunity to create unforgettable memories and bond with their fellow dancers.
At our Dance Department, we believe in nurturing the love of dance from a young age. Our Mini's Team provides a supportive and engaging environment for young dancers to explore their potential, build confidence, and ignite their passion for movement.
How to Join Us!
Dancers have the opportunity to audition and be selected for more than one company. For example, it's possible to be a part of both the jazz and lyrical company, expanding their dance repertoire and experience.

**Highlights from the Year**
The past year has been filled with remarkable achievements and memorable performances. Here are some of the dance company's highlights:
**Twilight Dance Competition:** Our talented dancers showcased their skills and brought home accolades from this prestigious competition.
**5,6,7,8…Elite Dance Competition:** The seniors displayed their incredible talent and were awarded first place, along with multiple medals and trophies for solos and duos.
**Take to the Stage Dance Competition:** Our Inters group secured second and third place in their captivating group numbers, while our duos received well-deserved recognition.
**Representing Ireland:** Cate Collenette has been selected to represent Ireland in The Dance World Championships in Braga, Portugal. We couldn't be prouder of her accomplishment
**Dance-a-thon Fundraiser:** Our community came together for a fun-filled Dance-a-thon, raising funds to support our Dance Company Branded Uniforms.
**Dance Platform and Perform Ireland RDS:** Our dancers had the opportunity to perform at the Helix and on the Main Stage at Perform Ireland RDS, showcasing their incredible talent and dedication.
**London Dance Experience:** Our Ailey Company embarked on a memorable trip to London, attending dance classes at Pineapple Studios, exploring the V&A Museum, and enjoying mesmerizing performances of "Frozen" and "Newsies" in the West End.
**Audition Workshop:** Our dancers had the privilege of participating in an audition workshop with Abby Lee Miller. Lauren Rea was even selected by Abby Lee herself for a private Zoom class—a truly remarkable achievement!
